This piece happened to have been 3 feet by 4 feet and then I used my AK. You cut to rip the pieces of plywood into two and a quarter inch pieces. I started using the AK. You cut because I didn't feel so comfortable having this big piece of plywood on my table saw, and then it was just fun to you. So I just kept going. I ripped a total of 14 slats for this project. This is a pretty small bench. So if you want a bigger bench cut some more then I cut the 2x4 is down to size.
Small piece and it creates the same effect, but I wanted to see if there was a different way to do it. So I'm not going to percent happy with execution. I definitely made some escapes and there are some flaws in it, but in the end I'm happy with the product. I'm happy with the color that I decided to experiment with I'm happy that excited to put a shelf for my kid's shoes and if they actually put their shoes away, I'm going to call this build a success. So, let's get sir! I started out by looking at my scrap in first some plywood.
Then I made the 2x4 is a little fancier and it took the rounded corners off of them by ripping it through the table saw the two by fours were 1/16 thicker than two set pieces apply, so I had to send it through the planer to take off a 30 second on each face to make them completely. Even now, instead of gradually building up the bench layer by layer, I decided to glue up three different panels, so two legs and one top.
