Wrought iron is also easy to maintain. With the new powder coatings, they usually will stay rust free for years, and if they do get a bit of rust on them, simply use some steel wool or sandpaper to remove it, then repaint the spot with a matching paint from the hardware store.
For instance, you may find that aluminum or wrought iron will make a lovely addition to your patio. Many of these tables have fine detailing to make them elegant and sophisticated, harkening back to the turn of the 19th century. Others are more fashion forward, particularly ones made of aluminum. If you live in an area that has occasional high winds, you'll find wrought iron a great choice, since it is heavier and far less prone to blowing around or over, even in a heavy wind.
Do you enjoy bringing groups together and throwing a party on the patio? You might consider buying a collection of smaller patio tables and outfitting the place like a pub or café. These smaller patio tables are easier to pick up and rearrange than a large boarding house-style picnic table.
