A common feature many shoppers look for is the umbrella attachment. The umbrellas block bright sunlight and offer some protection from rain. These umbrellas are lowered and raised with a crank handle. If you choose a patio table that does not have an umbrella, then it is suggested that you place your table in a shaded area for comfort. These types of tables vary in color, and you may choose a specific color depending on your other outside furniture and decor.
Wood patio tables are a favorite for those who like their backyard to look like a park, or a nature preserve. Wood blends in perfectly and may even take you back to those days of camping. Wood patio tables are sturdy, and can handle even the roughest of kids bounding around on them. On the con side, wood will only look good for so long. After a few years, the outdoor environment will likely start to take it's toll on the wood, and you may start to notice cracks and other effects of weathering.
Patio tables can be quite affordable. Some hardware stores have an outdoor section to shop from and sell various patio furniture pieces. You can find patio furniture online and in retail stores. Many times at the end of the summer season you can find patio tables on clearance and get a good deal on one for the following year. The best advice is to watch for sales ads and shop wisely.
