Teak tables come in all sizes these days, from smaller pub tables for two or four people to magnificent tables that will seat six, eight or even 12. Because teak is such a great wood for tables, you never have to worry about the table warping or cracking on you. Over time, it will start to turn a lovely shade of silvery-gray. It's easy enough to restore the color with a little Danish oil if you prefer to keep it in its original honey color.
Aside from durability, you also have to ensure that the materials used don't contain toxic elements in it. This means that if they should use nontoxic plastic for construction or nontoxic finishes for wood materials.
When purchasing patio tables, the most important thing that you need to keep in mind is to get ones that are crafted out of top quality materials. Some of the nicer options include synthetic materials like thick plastic or recycled plastic along with durable woods including Meranti Mahogany, Northern White Cedar, Teak, and Southern Cypress. Each is very sturdy and would stand up well under the elements unlike the cheaper alternatives that would break down and then have to be replaced sooner rather than later. What is also a nice feature of these materials is that they are available in a number of eye-catching colors and finishes, which is great since it allows you to put a personal spin on your deck, porch, or patio area.
