Please make it quick here we are making our lag frame and what we did is we not lag the lag post so that the support which is the short skirt, can stitch right. There we put a little bit of a profile there. We respect some holes for these screws, they're going to be screwed in here two of this purpose and we pre-drilled to void and splinters you. Okay, now we're ready for the final cut. What I'm going to do here is, I have a straight edge.
We're going to do it in don't worry this altar table we're going to be using some redwood and we're choosing some they're nice for the tabletop and also some pressure-treated wood that we are going to be using for The frame of the table so now we've laid out our seven planks and we made our selection based on the color and the characters and what we want. Our final table to look like make sure. When you're laying out the planks that you put the growth ring facing down that way, if it rains in the water hits the table, the water will go off to the side. Oh now, we've flipped all of our signs overs make sure that you keep your outside edge, nice and smooth, but you don't want any knots on the outside all right. Our first cut with our long skirt here and we wanted to leave enough space on the end.
So that we'll have room for our legs, we're using stainless steel screws and because regular metal screws could react with the Redwood and leave a stain, and that would be in next. We use the scrap wood to make a little jig with a 1 inch of paper. So that way, as we were screwing it, we slid that down the way and made sure that we were really consistent with our safety. The last thing we did was use this handy-dandy Kreg jig on the end here and basically it makes some pocket screws there so that when we put the leg on the end, you won't be able to see the screw holes, so we glued it and we screwed it. The sucker should be on tight here we have the flat 4 underneath the tabletop.
