Wood patio tables are a favorite for those who like their backyard to look like a park, or a nature preserve. Wood blends in perfectly and may even take you back to those days of camping. Wood patio tables are sturdy, and can handle even the roughest of kids bounding around on them. On the con side, wood will only look good for so long. After a few years, the outdoor environment will likely start to take it's toll on the wood, and you may start to notice cracks and other effects of weathering.
Teak tables come in all sizes these days, from smaller pub tables for two or four people to magnificent tables that will seat six, eight or even 12. Because teak is such a great wood for tables, you never have to worry about the table warping or cracking on you. Over time, it will start to turn a lovely shade of silvery-gray. It's easy enough to restore the color with a little Danish oil if you prefer to keep it in its original honey color.
When you decide to outfit your patio like an outdoor family room, choosing furniture is one of the biggest decisions you'll make. Your furnishings need to be comfortable and to support the things you want to do outside. Outdoor furniture manufacturers have stepped in and provided homeowners with a tremendous range of options.
