This has all left furniture stores in a tough situation with a lot of furniture on hand they can't sell because people are afraid to spend. If you have money on hand and are ready to do some spending you may be able to get a great deal.
You are going to need a large table to comfortably accommodate at least six to eight people. A ten foot patio table is a nearly perfect addition for any sort of dinner party that you are hoping to hold outdoors. With plenty of length and ample space for all of your guests to have just the right amount of elbow-room, you are never going to long for additional dining furnishings. Choosing a sturdy table that will endure the elements is also important. With that being said your best bet is one made of teak which has inherent properties to resist rot, and water. Another option is responsibly harvested redwood. The craftsmanship of a table, which happens to be made from incredible redwood that is over one hundred years old, is sure to last you for years and years worth of memorable meals with all of your friends and relatives.
If you want to add a little class to your patio table, you can look into a glass. It always seems nice to have a little bit of a glass touch to a table. A glass table-top is a great way to do this. You can still have a hardy table, made of wood, or iron, but a nice textured glass tabletop softens the entire look. The obvious downside is that glass is glass. It's breakable, and accidents do happen especially if you have a house full of kids in the summer months.
