Next you need to consider the right fabric for the umbrellas to cover your patio tables. Consider your home environment. If you live in a place that deals with extremes in weather conditions, you need to look into heavy-duty fabrics that can handle what Mother Nature throws at it. If you are going to bring your umbrella inside, and put it in the garage when it's not in use, you have a lot more flexibility and will be able to pick from a variety of decorative, but not as weather-hardy fabrics.
This has all left furniture stores in a tough situation with a lot of furniture on hand they can't sell because people are afraid to spend. If you have money on hand and are ready to do some spending you may be able to get a great deal.
You are going to need a large table to comfortably accommodate at least six to eight people. A ten foot patio table is a nearly perfect addition for any sort of dinner party that you are hoping to hold outdoors. With plenty of length and ample space for all of your guests to have just the right amount of elbow-room, you are never going to long for additional dining furnishings. Choosing a sturdy table that will endure the elements is also important. With that being said your best bet is one made of teak which has inherent properties to resist rot, and water. Another option is responsibly harvested redwood. The craftsmanship of a table, which happens to be made from incredible redwood that is over one hundred years old, is sure to last you for years and years worth of memorable meals with all of your friends and relatives.
Choose from tables crafted from various woods from alder and cypress to pine and teak. Some are available in a wide variety of colors and finishes to fit your personal style. And others, such as those made of teak, are better left in their natural state to lend a classic look to your patio as they weather and fade in the elements unless you maintain them with protector to keep their original hue.
Nothing could be a finer example than patio tables. It's hard to imagine that today's gorgeous and luxurious patio tables have anything even remotely in common with their picnic table ancestors.
