It started with the housing crunch. Fewer home sales meant fewer furniture sales happening. That includes inside furniture and patio furniture like tables.
Everyone always wants to save money, and there are a couple of tricks to saving some cash on a patio table. First of all, shopping online typically gives you a lot more options to choose from while still giving you very adequate savings. Buying online often gives you the opportunity to purchase directly from the manufacturer, which cuts out the sales people and all of the middle men. Another way to save a lot of money on a patio table is to shop for it out of season. Often many manufacturers put them on sale in the fall or winter, especially if they need to clear out their warehouse in order to make room for next year's models.
There are many patios all over the country that don't have roofs, walls, or umbrellas. People can still have fun in their patios even if they decide not to install a patio fireplace or heater. Decorations, although they add to the beauty of the area, do not add to the functionality of a patio either. But a patio without a patio table? That's totally unheard of!
If you are trying to set up your patio on a small budget, you may end up looking towards plastic patio tables to do the trick. Plastic can come in a variety of designs and colors, to match most backyard décor choices. Weather also does it's dirty work on plastic. Over time, plastic that has been left in the sun will start to become more brittle and crack. Eventually the pieces will give way, likely when someone is sitting in them. Another drawback to plastic is they almost never look as attractive as you would like.
You are going to need a large table to comfortably accommodate at least six to eight people. A ten foot patio table is a nearly perfect addition for any sort of dinner party that you are hoping to hold outdoors. With plenty of length and ample space for all of your guests to have just the right amount of elbow-room, you are never going to long for additional dining furnishings. Choosing a sturdy table that will endure the elements is also important. With that being said your best bet is one made of teak which has inherent properties to resist rot, and water. Another option is responsibly harvested redwood. The craftsmanship of a table, which happens to be made from incredible redwood that is over one hundred years old, is sure to last you for years and years worth of memorable meals with all of your friends and relatives.
