For making the lid cover, must be slightly larger than the box. Holes have to be drilled for hinges on the lid as well as on the box. Now the hinges can be connected and the screws can be fastened. When the box has been assembled into one piece, the final step of painting or staining has to be done. Few layers of paint can be applied evenly on the box and when one layer dries, proceed to the next. Painting is important as it helps to keep the box in a good condition for a longer time.
For the foundation or footing, concrete slab can be used by pouring cement into form and allowing it to solidify. The height of the box has to be measured with the measuring tape of course. The woods should be of same size for regularity. The wood can also be sanded for having a smooth surface. The frames have to be built by taking the measurement of the box.
